Boy: So, what is magic?
Wiseman: Lo, this is a strange question.
Boy: It is a strange tool. What is the reality of magic?
Wiseman: There are two sides...
Boy: OH?
Wiseman: The first is... the art of misdirection. You lead your audience... or your enemy in one direction, while you go in another. This is the first power of magic.
Boy: What is the second power?
Wiseman: The second power of magic, is to actually conjure something where there was nothing before.
Boy: Golly!
Wiseman: To wield that second power, one must be sincere of heart and wield the ultimate creative essence-- which is, pure honesty and innocence. True creation comes with honesty. If one attempts to create with dishonesty, it becomes parasitic, as in feeding on anothers conjurations.
Boy: That sounds...
Wiseman: Dark. Yes, it is. This is the realm of the demon.
Boy: ...
Wiseman: That many walk, yet few escape from.... for eons, even when the body is lost, they return again, with the same cursed fate, ad infinitum. It is a prison of insanity. An illusion of constant seperation.
Boy: ACK
Wiseman: A route you don't want to walk, my boy. Stay the route of the lion. And your kingdom is assured.
